Tooth patch: Tooth patch is a new term for me. But I suspect that it is a provisional filling. These are not meant to last more than 30 days. Yours has lasted a year. It may hurt as the "patch"' has loosened and may be pinching your gum. Have a definitive restoration place in you tooth...not another patch.
