A member asked:

Can anyone read my xray of my hip? i have osteoporosis with a high risk for fracture i am a 39 year old female can somebody please help

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ask your doctor: Whoever ordered the hip radiograph should have the radiologist's interpretation or reading, and relay the results to you. A bone density exam is indicated for osteoporosis assessment. Unless you are a heavy smoker or have a congenital condition associated with bone loss, and as long as you are physically active you should not have a concern for osteoporosis for a couple of decades.
