Glycemic index: The glycemic index, or glycaemic index, (GI) provides a measure of how quickly blood sugar levels (i.e., levels of glucose in the blood) rise after eating a particular type of food. The effects that different foods have on blood sugar levels vary considerably. The glycemic index estimates how much each gram of available carbohydrate (total carbohydrate minus fiber) in a food raises a person's bloo.

What is the glycemic index for eggs?

Zero!!!: Eggs are all protein and fat without any significant amount of carbs and thus have a glycemic index of 0! Eggs are one of the healthiest foods you can eat and it is safe to eat them liberally as they do not raise cholesterol! However, I strongly advise eating only organic (ideally pasture-raised) eggs. Tequila: I don't know the glycemic index of Tequila but you can drink a small amount from time to time. On the day you are going to have Tequila please check your blood sugar before dinner and again at two hour after dinner and Tequila. This should give you an idea of how much you need to increase your pre-meal insulin when you know you are going to enjoy Tequila.
