A member asked:

Is eating meat occasionally actually healthier than being a strict vegetarian? please advise!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your preference: Strict vegetarians need to supplement for B12, iron, and several other basic nutrients. The big studies show no differences in longevity or any category of disease when you control for other factors. Vegetarians can claim the moral high ground. I'd encourage you to make your own food choices without criticizing others or allow them to criticize yours.
