Pain control: Treatment will consist in symptom control, iv hydration, treatment of possible concomitant conditions, urinary tract infection for example. An urology evaluation will decide based on exact size and location of the calculus if it is amenable for extraction or lithotripsy/ the use of ultrasound to break the stone.
