A member asked:

What happens if i just (possibly) had my second ms attack how long will lesions be present/ will they show up on an mri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex : The newer MS lesions will persist on an MRI for about 4 weeks (T-1, GAD positive). But are you being treated with a potent disease modifying therapy like Tysabri (natalizumab) or Gilenya? If you have had a true relapse, are you taking steroids or ACTH? Do you supplement vitamin D-3? Hope you have an experienced and knowledgable neurologist.
