A member asked:

What happens if you get some soap in your eye and then wash it out and then wear contact lenses?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Irritation: Getting soap in your eye is a type of chemical irritation to the eye. Rinsing or irrigation of the eye will help eliminate the chemical but the eye can still be irritated. It would probably be best to not wear contacts for at least a day after any chemical irritation to the eye.
