What happens if an intrauterine gestation is not detected through a transvaginal or ultrasound what does that mean?

Depending on: your HCG levels and/or dates, it could mean it is too early in the pregnancy to identify a gestation, it could mean there has been a spontaneous abortion, or it could mean there is a potential ectopic pregnancy.
