Alveoloplasty: An alveoloplasty is reshaping of the bone, usually by removal of bone. For example, in people with areas of sharpness in their jaw, an alveoloplasty is performed to smoothen those areas. Bone grafting is the addition of bone. In those with concavities, bone grafting is used to build back the deficient bone. Also, a combination of the two techniques can be used in more complex cases.

Completely different: procedures. Alveoloplasty is the reshaping of the alveolar ridge bone to make it smooth. bone grafting procedures are done to restore your bone to its previous form. Ask your dentist or an oral surgeon for more information.
