Dry eyes: Get to a specialist eye MD. There are many treatment, depending on the underlying cause. Some of them are permanent like silicon punctum plugs. The effect of Restasis eye drops can be long lasting.

Can be a side effect: Some medications can cause dry eyes, even over the counter ones & some supplements possibly. If you do take any of these, check with your pharmacist or reliable online resources to see if dry eyes can be a side effect. Also caffeine is a mild diuretic (increases fluid loss). If you live in low humidity areas (deserts, etc.) and don't drink enough water, your eyes can be drier, too.
