A member asked:

I was wondering is a 25% increased ring sideroblasts in bone marrow a sign of bone marrow failure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

RARS: That is a lot. At your age, one can think of too much iron or a hereditary sideroblastic anemia. Rare to have a myelodysplasia at your age. The youngest person I saw was 45 years old. Hope this helps.
