Ketone levels: I am not sure what these numbers mean. What are the units? mmol/L? mEq/L? Who is measuring this, and why? We all have ketones in our blood after fasting; carbs increase insulin and suppresses ketones, so a low carb diet induces mild elevations of ketones. This can sometimes cause nausea and other symptoms. Extreme elevations of ketones, as in uncontrolled diabetes, is dangerous. consult your MD.
