Complex: Arteriovenous fistula, shunt, graft have hemodynamic effects. Usually done in forearm or arm with excellent alternate flow called collateral and checked prior to surgery. Total blood flow is increased and has cardiac effects, also venous dilation, and palpable flow thrill are part of the local effects.
