A member asked:

Can you tell me if it's likely that i have colon cancer if all tests are clear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: By all tests I assure that you are referring to blood samples as well as colonoscopy. If the blood tests are neg. they have no diagnostic value at the present time. Most are CA or carbohydrate antibodies with about a 50-60 % validity in dx. Colonoscopy would, at the present time be the best way to assure the bowel is free from CA. If that test was neg. then at least for 5 yrs. you are fine.
