Not necessarily: Julia, We define the normal heart rate at between 60 and 100. That being said, not everyone falls inside the norm. This could be your normal. An EKG is a good test, but not perfect, however. You should visit a cardiologist to be absolutely sure. Hope this helps!

Probably Not: If your EKG was normal, you are without new symptoms other than the noted increased heart rate, and any other lab work performed was unremarkable, then this may be normal for you, or may represent some mild volume depletion which may be improved by increasing your water intake.
