Headaches: Yes. A herniated disc in the neck can cause headaches and shoulder pain. If you have had problems in the lumbar spine then it is likely that you will have problems in the neck (cervical spine). Often the headaches and neck pain resolve with conservative measures. See your spine surgeon for evaluation and treatment. Huntsville is an outstanding city for spine surgeons. You are in a good place.
