3 meals a day: When you eat less than 3 meals/d, your body thinks that it is starving. Therefore when you do eat, the body stores calories rather than burning them. Eating three meals per day keeps your metabolism up and therefore burns more calories. If you are trying to reduce daily calorie intake, you should cut the portions of each meal vs eating fewer meals.
