Anxiey disorder: Anxiety disorders can have varied levels of disability , depending on of course, the individual . It can range from a pervasive sense of worrying on a low intensity level (as in Generalized anxiety disorder) to a full blown panic attack mimicking a " heart attack" ( panic disorder). Also coexisting psychiatric illnesses ( or physical illnesses like mitral valve prolapse with panic disorder) occur

Very disabling.: This disorder can become so severe that a sufferer may not be able to leave his or her home, be unable to work outside the home, and become unable to shop or visit friends and family. Also as with many psychiatric disorders we must always be vigilant for any suicidal ideas or threats.
