Ask for it.: An urine analysis is simple to do and can easily be done with your physical. The prostate screening can also be easily done. However, prostate screening has recently gone off the recommended list for standard screening by some organizations. My advise would be to simply ask your physician to perform these test.

Good question!: Currently, there is debate and lack of consensus on, not only the value of the routine annual exam but also, what it should consist of and what tests should be included, which is why there is great variation among MDs. Routine annual urinalysis in a healthy adult has not been proven to be cost-effective. The AUA recommends annual prostate cancer screening with a DRE and PSA test for men ages 55-69
