Suggestions: There are some things you can do to improve your discomfort while you heal. Try the anti-inflammatory naprosyn (naproxen) if you're not taking it already since it's long-acting). I suggest also increasing your water intake a lot (improves blood flow to spasmed tissue), use a microwaveable heat sock to low back several times a day and avoid stretching, as that typically just recreates the mechanism of injury.
