Can my hernia make me feel like i pulled a muscle in my lower right back there is a lot of pain where my hernia is located and in my back?

Yes: The iliopsoas, iliacus and tensor fascia lata can all effect/generate spasms and pain in lower back and thighs... Any anterior abdominal "pull" such as an inguinal or ventral hernia may precipitate said spasms and pains.

Two problems: It is possible you have two separate problems. Check in with your doc/surgeon. The back pain may impact your risk/benefit analysis for elective hernia repair. Once you address one problem, the second problem often simplifies. Good luck.
