Common: Relatively common. You will need to be on iron replacement and establish with obs-gyn. In case your iron remains low after few weeks of replacement you will need work-up for congenital causes of anemia and malabsorption.

Iron deficiency: Low serum ferritin reflects iron deficiency . Anemia could make you feel tired and reduce your stamina. You should take oral iron supplements available over the counter. Take the pills with meals and if you get constipation take a fiber laxative like Metamucil. Being anemic is not normal though not immediately dangerous.
