Yes, it can: If you have an active outbreak, it can definitely be transmitted by kissing. Drinking from a cup is a bit harder to transmit that way, but can happen. You need to put cup out of reach and do hugs instead of kisses until you heal up. Also talk to your doctor about preventative meds for you!
