HSV 1 and HSV 2?: Herpes virus has been previously classified as HSV I or HSV 2, however Type 1 can and does end up in Type 2 places regularly due to the sexual practice you mentioned in your question. Thus, any active herpes sores can be transmitted without question to any other contacted skin or mucous membrane.
