Start w/ primary MD: See your primary doctor first. Some types of abdominal pain can be diagnosed and treated by them, and if not, they will be able to direct you to the appropriate specialist, depending on their findings. It can save you a lot of time and money avoiding an unnecessary specialist visit by seeing your primary doctor first. Good luck and good health to you!
