Acyclovir : The use of Acyclovir has no impact on the use of the Nuvaring. Avoid intercourse if you are having an outbreak of genital herpes , as you may infect your partner. The Nuvaring only prevents pregnancy . It does not protect against the spread of sexually transmitted infections .
