What are the side effects of zovirax (acyclovir) i should watch for?

Acyclovir: At oral doses for herpes simplex, it is quite well tolerated but the higher oral doses for herpes zoster (shingles) can cause kidney problems if fluid intake is not keep up and this can occur with the intravenous form. High levels of the drug retained with kidney dysfunction can cause CNS problems.
