Yes: Acyclovir cream is not very effective to begin with, and if you're already taking oral acyclovir, it's completely unnecessary.

Chickenpox: I agree with Dr. Gallant. More is not always better, Especially when comparing efficacy of oral acyclovir vs a cream.
