Yes: Taking klonopin (clonazepam) daily will create dependence. Try to find a sleep aid that is not habit forming. There are other options. Work together with your physician.

Controversial.: There are some reports that benzodiazepines can make sleep apnea worse . Alcohol and sleeping pills do make it worse. There are things you can do; don't sleep on your back, change position to help breathing better, lose weight, go to dentist for dental device, CPAP and if all else fails, surgery- Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty.
