NSAIDS: Can thin blood, raise blood pressure, affect kidneys and cause fluid retention. Speak with surgeon and/ or cardiologist about their recommendations.

No, except: NSAIDS are not contraindicated after cardiac surgery due to specifics related to the operation. Aspirin is actually probably indicated after heart surgery especially coronary bypass. NSAIDS may be contraindicated based on other drug use, renal function and other medical problems. Check with your doctor.
