Local Modalities: such as icing, heat, electric muscle stimulation, and massage might help. Trigger Points if present should be addressed with Deep Tissue Massage or Trigger Point Injections. Also, effective skeletal muscle relaxants such as tizanidine, or baclofen might help. As a last resort Botulinum Toxin Injections has been shown to be effective.
