Possibly: Cure is a very strong word in this context. Most forms of dystonia are difficult to treat. Severe forms in children are now being treated with deep brain stimulation. Dbs can make a major difference in functionality and life style, but beware of people claiming "cure".

Controllable: Controllable yes, curable no. Check with your neurologist for the best treatments. Options include medication, Botox injections, nerve ablation or deep brain stimulation. If your general neurologist finds this difficult have them send you to a movement disorder specialist. Hope this helps.
