I have 3 week old what's the max can we feed him seems like 3oz is not enough we feed him every 3 hours?

On demand: 2 oz every 2 to 4 hrs. However, this is ideal case. Babies eat on demand when they are this young. At times they can eat double what they are supposed to. After the cluster feeding, they can have longer periods between meals. Congratulations on the baby!

Depends on situation: Your average 3 wk old will fit up to half their poundage oz/lb in their stomach at a feeding. .(ex 9 lb = 4.5 oz) This should easily sustain baby and provide for growth. Please do not confuse their active fascination with sucking with hunger.Sucking gives their brain pleasure separate from feeding. Feeding as they wake and not again until their next waking period sets a good pattern.
