Need new goal: Your doing right thing so far. Although many well conditioned athletes will have a lower resting heart rate, it may not be the most accurate measure of your fitness level. Normals vary from person to person, & throughout day (with diet, stress, anxiety, time since exercise). Can try increasing cardio to 45-60m 5-6d./wk. w/ peak goal exercise HR ~(220-age)x0.75. Keep up good work & RHR may lower.
