Unlikely: Check with your sinus surgeon or your dentist. They can best figure out why the left side of your jaw is popping and hurting.

Probably not: Probably not from the surgery itself, but if you had preexisting joint dysfunction that was subclinical, being stretched open could have exacerbated symptoms. Discuss this with your sinus Surgeon before your next operation. Your Dentist may want you to see an Orthodontist and/or Oral Surgeon about your joints.

Maybe: If you had general anesthesia with intubation (breathing tube inserted) then the jaw may have been open too wide which can cause TMJ. See TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
