Sloppy practice : Statistically the majority of sore throats in kids are viral, so I consider labeling a kid strep without a test is sloppy or poor medical practice. No kid needs to be exposed to antibiotics when unnecessary.I can do a simple strep test at the visit which is available in minutes.
