Root canal: Well, I call it normal, but its not totally unexpected. If they used a little nitrous oxide gas during the op that can cause nausea. The narcs and the blood you swallowed also cause nausea. Call the surgeon and get an Rx for Zofran, try to sip some ginger tea. benadryl (diphenhydramine) may also hjelp.

Not uncommon: But undesirable. Stop taking. If continue to have pain call treating dentist. Taking tylenol (acetaminophen) and motrin at same time maybe a better alternative.

Not unusual. : Taking medication on empty stomach commonly is a little harsh. Narcotic pain meds have been known to cause nausea. Try to drink more water (full glass) when swallowing pills. Keep something on your stomach to soothe it. Plus your body is dealing with the stressful episode as simple as it might seem. Good luck.
