Not really: Used according to prescription it wouldn't kill you, but it causes stomach irritation & constipation.As for fever or muscle aches you may have, NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen (Advil or Aleve) are far more effective, but these, too, can cause stomach irritation.Pepto Bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) is still a reasonable OTC treatment (but can also constipate) & Emetrol for nausea.Your dr. can provide other alternatives.
