A member asked:

Why does spleen get enlarged during typhoid and paratyphoid??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spleen fights for u: The spleen is an immune organ-- and as such it may become enlarged when the body is fighting an infection such as typhoid or paratyphoid. It's important to have a spleen because infections can actually be alot worse without one. The size of the spleen can be followed by a doctor. Hope u can get good treatment.
