Typhoid fever: Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection caused by salmonella strains. Prevention is best with proper sanitation and good personal hygiene. Clean food preparation and hand washing can aide in prevention. Proper public sanitation practices are needed. There are vaccines for prevention.
