Pretty safe: But, long-term use could lead to decreasing benefit if taken at too frequent intervals and at escalating amounts. But typically, can last a lot longer than many prescription sleeping pills.

What is the correct dose for melatonin as a sleep aid?

0.3 - 1.0 mg: Take it 90min before sleep. Take the smaller dose and see if it works. Much higher doses can actually interfere with sleep.
