It depends: It really depends on your functional status. Are you able to walk, kneel or bend down? What are your limitations (they are different for each person). I went back to work a month after a knee replacement surgery, but it depends on how strong and flexible you are. It also depends on the age of the child- what will be necessary? If you need to get in better shape, get some physical therapy.
