A member asked:

Is it true you can't run with hip replacements or they can break? i have two, if i took a nanny job could i just walk fast? someone seems interested

You could run: But i would not recommend it. There is also additional concern based on the type of implant you may have. For example, if you have a ceramic articulation as the bearing surface you may be at increased risk for fracture. You should discuss these issues with your surgeon.
