It's possible: It is possible to have a spontaneous period, but much more difficult. We usually recommend the use of Provera (medroxyprogesterone) if no period in 3 months to decrease the risk of endometrial cancer from unopposed prolonged estrogen stimulation. PCOS patients usually have a higher rate of anovulation and therefore infertility and the use of ovulation induction meds are common to get pregnant.
