Other answers: Others have answered your question and say don't mix Toprol with alcohol but actually, if you look it up, there's no listed interaction between ethanol and metoprolol (in moderation of course!). So, whichever one works best for you - even a little of both! Toprol is effective for many but alcohol has a time honored use "for medicinal purposes!".
