A member asked:

In therapy for scatic nerve issue not working allergic to nsaids and ibuprofen. is there a procedure to decompress the nerve? in alot of pain.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: Sciatic nerve problems are usually caused by disk disease. The most portant treatment is physical therapy and avoiding lifting or injuring your back. There are other medication choices in addition to the NSAIDs as well as injections for pain. Surgery is not an affective long term treatment but can be used to control pain if nothing else works.
