Usually not needed: It is quite common for children to grind their teeth at this age. Usually, although they are making noise, they are not damaging the teeth in any significant way and no treatment is indicated. Even if some wear results the baby teeth are usually ready to be replaced with adult teeth before the wear is a problem. At 3 she is old enough for a visit to the pediatric dentist they can help guide you.

2 reasons. 1) as children grow a little bit here today, a little bit there tomorrow, and a little bit elsewhere the day after, they often grind there teeth to help balance their occlusion. 2) they spend all day learning wonderful new things, and when they sleep and dream they are backing up the computer. She should have been seeing Dentist (preferably Pedodontist) since 1st b 'day. See Dentist.
