Get it checked: I get concerned anytime I see one tonsil that is significantly larger than the other, especially if it is progressively enlarging like you describe. I would see an ENT if you are concerned. May be worth having the tonsils removed for diagnosis, especially if other treatments like antibiotics have not helped. Tonsil cancer (HPV-related) and lymphoma of the tonsil would be possibilities.
