Fast heart rate: A heart rate over 100 is tachycardia. It can be seen in cases of pain or fever. Tachycardia is usually NOT a side effect of parathyroid surgery. You may have so,etching else going on. If it persists, you should se your surgeon. Otherwise, expect to start feeling better after your surgery.
