A member asked:

I had a cats can of the abdomen with contrast and i've would that show if i had a tumor in the pancreas or liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cats can; dogs can't: Hi. Yes, usually a CT scan of the abdomen will show tumors of the pancreas and liver. However, there is a limit of resolution, as with all testing, and some tumors (more common in pancreas than liver) are below the limit of detection with CT, but very problematic by way of making a hormone in an unregulated manner. Depending on your case, your doc may want more imaging.
